Embarassment of Riches

This phrase caught my attention today, I heard Gloria Steinam say it (on Oprah) about having a woman and an African American Man as candidates for the democratic party. I'm not going to chat about politics, but I just thought that that phrase was really interesting. I thought about what my Embarassment of Riches are...As I sat thinking about all of the "stresses" that were going on in my life, I realized that my family, friends and my life is actually my Embarassment of Riches...I decided today to turn around the stress and think about this phrase everytime I feel the pressure building. What's your Embarassment of Riches?
On another note, I promised to chat about the High Speed Sales Stiletto Camp that I attended last week. It was amazing and here is my testimonial that I sent to Kim. I would highly recommend Kim to any ladies that are in sales or own their own business...

Pass the Hors d'oeuvres!

I first met Kim at an EWomen Network Seminar, where I was asked to be a guest. I accepted the invite and thought it would be great exposure for me, especially with a room full of captive women! As most events start, we got into groups to do some 30 Second Networking. In my group appeared a very confident, beautiful and outspoken woman who introduced herself as Kim Duke, Sales Diva! I had no idea who this unique woman was, however I was very intrigued by her introduction of herself. I had the opportunity to sit with Kim the next day which excited me, as I wanted to know more about this interesting women. Turns out she took an interest in me and asked, "What is going to make you Rich, Tricia?" I was shocked, how dare she ask me such a personal question?! (Insert EGO here). Then I decided that it was not a personal question and I told her my plan about selling my company to start another one, one which captured my true passion and personality. By telling Kim this, she was able to open up a whole can of worms, slugs, bones and bikinis! This little chat and a few fabulous ideas was Kim's way of offering me her Hors d'oeuvres! I immediately went home and checked out her website and signed myself up for her High Speed Sales Stiletto Camp!

I can honestly say that this was the most amazing, motivating, and compelling course I have ever taken. Not only was Kim informative, genuine and personable, the course itself was so much fun(!), yes I said fun! The evening of the first day, I couldn't sleep as my mind was buzzing with ideas and I couldn't wait to get back the next day. I actually wanted to roll out of bed at 6:00 in the morning to get back to join Kim and all of the other wonderful women in business!

I want to thank Kim for such an amazing experience and I would recommend to any women that is in sales (and we all are in some way!), to take this camp or pick up any learning materials that Kim puts out. I learned so much and now have the tools to really get my business on track. I am now ready succeed, as I have gained the confidence and inspiration that I needed to become "expert"!

So there...that's enough for today, oh except that it snowed at least 5 cm last night and I am really sad, as many of you know, I'm a summer girl and I hate snow between my flip flop toes!
Oh well...in Calgary it may be 30 degrees next week...Here's hoping?!!!
Tchau, Tricia
