Oi!
I am back and still trying to process this past weeks events!
Starting last Thursday I attended a two day Conference/Seminar/Trade Show put on by the E Women's Network.
http://www.ewomennetwork.com/ This was a fabulous group of women that have made connections across North America through the membership. There were several different speakers that all had cool and interesting perspectives on everything from Sales to Publicity to being a Recovering Control Freak to Stress Relief Through Comedy! I learned so much, was able to have a table to show off the Best of Belo Sol and to make real connections with several women in business. An off shoot from that conference is a "Stiletto Camp" put on by Kim Duke, The Sales Diva! Kim had great advice for me and I wanted to learn more, so I am off to another conference next week for two days! Whew...lots going on, I can't wait to be able to put to use all of the pheonomenal advice, information and suggestions that I have gotten. Stay tuned for several changes to all aspects of Belo Sol, it's time to step things up and take over the world, one bikini at a time!!!
After this conference I had one day off, to go the Stampeders football game against Winnipeg. Speaking of football as you all know, I love it and my good friend and beadmaker Carrie Hamilton of the Beadtree, sent me this wonderful picture of Cairo tearing apart our rivals football. Cairo told the future that night, as the Stamps did tear apart the Eskies! Sorry Carrie, I had to do it! Thanks for the pic though!
So after the game on Saturday, it was back to work on Sunday for me as it was the Women in Business Fair. This year was much more professional and I made really great contacts. I would like to thank the women of Airdrie Women in Small Business for putting together such a successful show.
Monday started off Small Business Week in Airdrie with a Chamber Luncheon, great Networking advice was given. Tuesday was lunch with Grandma and Grandpa and then off to a seminar about being an entreprenuer...learned a few things even though I have already started my own business. On Wednesday was a marketing talk with the Editor of Airdrie Life magazine, which was very informative. I hope to write an article in Airdrie Life for their Spring issue...stay tuned!
Whew, it has been a crazy week, Thursday and Friday have been my marketing days, trying to get a few things underway to really step up my business! Tell everyone you know that I am out here!!
Okay, enough is enough....will chat again on weekend, with some more fun stuff and fabulous new deals that will be coming out soon.
