My Life in Green...

Ola!

Today I am going to get on my "Green" Soap Box as I have just come back from a "Green Procurement" seminar this morning. It was a great reminder about how to set up your business or household to be much more environmentally friendly and conscious. At present moment I actually have a lot of Green practices, however I can always improve on them and so can the rest of you. Obviously, I recycle and try to buy as many green products as possible, slowly replacing certain things like dishwasher detergent and fabric softener sheets with the greener alternative. I have been cleaning my entire house since January with just vinegar, water and baking soda, which is better for us, the pets and the environment. Works just as well as any chemical cleaner. Composting has been our mainstay for the past year as well and cuts our garbage down by three quarters! Eventually, I would like to change over my business cards to completely recycled paper and vegetable dyes, everything in time though! I will post some great links to different websites that I learned about today, in a couple of days, so that maybe you can think about changing how you or your company looks at your purchasing of environmentally friendly products.

Oh and here's a great site http://www.cleancalgary.org/ This is the organization that put on the presentation this morning! Check it out!

Okay, here's me sort of "tree hugging" in Vancouver!
