So yesterday I posted a blog only to see that it never did appear, lost in cyberspace. Don't worry you didn't miss the pictures of the fashion show, I'm still waiting to get the card from my husband, he's been hogging it at work Will post as soon as I can!
The story I told yesterday was of how I witnessed an amazing thing in nature on Tuesday morning:
I took Cairo out for a walk near the golf course and I noticed a small tidbit of red poking out of a poppy pod. I thought to myself, wow that poppy is going to appear really soon, it would be amazing to set up a camera and catch frame by frame how the petals will slowly emerge. I than came back out an hour later and 3 petals had pushed themselves through their bright green casing...It was slowly happening, a beautiful poppy was emerging from its protective pod! Again, I left and came back an hour later, the pod now hanging so delicately from one of the petals and then the wind came and blew it off. And there was a beautiful red poppy glowing against the green grass and leaves. It was pretty amazing to experience that, I know it sounds simple, but it was really a great way to just be aware of nature and how amazing it really is.
