Oi Todos,
Here I am working away on Family Day and I realized that I hadn't posted anything on Valetines' Day. I think this is because my husband and I celebrated on Friday instead. We were pretty busy on Thursday and had Portuguese lessons at night, so I will now post a belated Valentines Day blog. I have posted some pictures of my gifts from my husband, he puts so much thought into my gifts! I collect pottery (I guess WE collect pottery now) and being the archaeologist at heart, Mike looks for "artifact" type stuff for me. He found a ceramic Wine Vessel from, I believe peoples of a small island near Indonesia, the jury is still out as to whether it is actually an artifact or not, in my professional opinion, definitely not, but I love it just the same. The roughness of it, the imperfections, the cracks, the fingerprints...Nothing like a machine can make and I love it. I just noticed too, that one of my cats jumped in the picture...of course always has to be the centre of attention!
Even though I sell swimwear, I will always be an archaeologist and anthropologist! Carrie and Heather, you guys would love this piece!
He also gave me a large floor vase which is something that we have been looking for for awhile. And that's not it, he also gave me two bracelets from different places as well. I'm a sucker for cool jewelry too. He wrote down where all of it is from, however did not leave it with me to post here. All of it comes from one of my favorite stores downtown that has things from all over the world in it!
He was so thoughtful and is always so thoughtful, Love you!
So, it appears as though Carrie IS the only one that reads my blog, oh well...gotta start somewhere! LOL
Well, that is it for now...hope everyone is enjoying their families today (Alberta and Ontario now?!) I am going to enjoy working on my accounting stuff...will not be a great Family Day for me!
